Having gone through the terrible loss of our own loved ones, we know the great difficulties that grief poses to our everyday lives. We have also encountered true healing, freedom, and peace through sharing our stories with others and encountering HOPE in the promises and words of Jesus Christ. This has not only been our story but countless others with whom we have walked and seen their own transformation. We believe this path of healing can be yours as well.
-You have lost a loved one in any situation (death of a spouse, a child, a baby, suicide, deaths after a long period of illness, a sudden death, etc).
-You are looking for friends in Christ to share your journey of sorrow.
-You've been trying to figure out the meaning of your grief.
-You want to get on with life but have struggled to do so.
-You find comfort in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
-You are open to new ways of coping with your grief.
-You simply don't want to be alone anymore.
There is no timetable for grief. Even losses that occurred decades ago can still bring pain and sorrow. Whether your loss occurred last week or 40 years ago, you have a home here.
No. We want you to feel free to come just as you are. We do accept free-will donations to offset the cost of materials, if at any time you feel so moved.
Absolutely! While our support group is centered around the person of Jesus Christ and draws strength from the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church, we welcome anyone who is open to finding healing and support.
We meet on select Monday evenings (5:30-7:00pm) in the Hospitality room of the Church. (Enter through the main doors of the Church and the Hospitality Room is to the left) 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111
