Be Reconciled

The Rockford Diocese will once again offer a “Be Reconciled Day”.  On Wednesday, March 29, many churches in the Diocese will be open from 9:00am-8:00pm in order to offer the faithful an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

At St. Bridget, all three priests will be available all day in the Church to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. There will be three confessional stations. We will have a confessional station in the Hospitality Room and another one in the Cry Room. The third station will be near the music area in the Church. At each station, there will be the opportunity to be behind a screen or go face to face. This arrangement will allow us to spread out a bit and at the same time allow for sufficient privacy. We will also have an examination of Conscience and an Act of Contrition available at each station, so please do not worry about the mechanics of the sacrament. The priest will guide you through the process.

This is a great opportunity for all of us to reach out and to invite those who have been away from the Church to consider a return. The priests will be there to help those who participate to experience the love and mercy of God.
