Request a Mass Intention

A positive change this year is that you can now schedule Mass Intentions online through our parish website. Access our online Mass Intentions Book if you would like to request a Flame of Faith or Mass Intention. We have also updated our Intentions Guidelines. If you have any questions, please call the Parish Office 815-633-6311.

What is a Mass Intention?

When a priest celebrates Mass, he can apply the grace of that Mass towards a specific need or intention. This is called the "intention of the Mass". People can request a Mass Intention for a deceased loved one, a living person who is sick or suffering, or a living person celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or other special moment in their life. If the request is for a living person, it is called a special intention.

Understanding the Mass

In the following two videos, the priests of St. Bridget give presentations explaining all the parts of the Mass by doing a "Walk Through the Mass". If you have any questions, contact Msgr. Steve Knox sknox@rockforddiocese.org
