Cursillo is a movement within the Catholic Church to make Christian communities possible in neighborhoods, parishes, work situations, and other places where people live the greater part of their lives. This gives many a new and deeper understanding of our Catholic faith, the Sacraments, Eucharistic Adoration, and living in a Christian community. Cursillo in Spanish means “a little course”, so it’s a little course in Christianity - a 3 day encounter with Christ. The Cursillo weekends take place in the spring and fall each year, with separate weekends for men and women. Many of our leaders at St Bridget live the Cursillo method and have attended a Cursillo weekend. No matter where you are in your faith journey and if you are at least 21 years of age, Cursillo may be for you! God loves you, and He is calling you to a closer relationship with Him and others. Jesus asked His disciples “But who do you say that I am?” We should be concerned and ask Jesus, “Who do You say that I am?” Cursillo can help you answer these questions. Jesus is counting on you - all you need to do is give him your yes!
