How do I arrange a wedding at St. Bridget?

Congratulations on your engagement! We are so excited for you and your soon-to-be spouse! We love that you want to get married in the Church and that you are considering St. Bridget as a possible location for your wedding. The first step is simply to call our Parish Office 815-633-6311. We will begin the conversation with you about setting the date of your wedding. If I am already civilly married or married outside of the Church, can I have my marriage sacramentalized or blessed in the Catholic Church?

We would be happy to assist you in having your marriage sacramentalized. Many Catholics get married civilly and are not aware that the Church asks us to get married in the Church so that we can receive the Sacrament of Matrimony. Others have a previous marriage situation that needs to be remedied or they are waiting for an annulment. No matter the situation, one of the priests would be happy to assist you in moving forward.
